Will my spider veins turn into varicose veins?

Spider veins do not progress into varicose veins. However, they may be an early manifestation of deeper vein diseases that may present as varicose veins later in life. Moreover, with severe varicose veins, there can be a risk of deep vein thrombosis – clotting of blood in a deep vein.
