Dr Pravin Lingam is a Vascular, Endovascular, and General Surgeon with over 15 years of clinical experience. He holds a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) and a Master of Medicine (Surgery) from the National University of Singapore, and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (FRCSEd). He was awarded the prestigious Human Manpower Development Programme (HMDP) Award, completing a clinical fellowship at the renowned Leeds Vascular Institute in the United Kingdom, a leading tertiary referral centre for complex vascular conditions.

Education
Dr Pravin’s medical journey began at the National University of Singapore, where he earned his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) and subsequently a Master of Medicine (Surgery). His commitment to excellence led him to become a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (FRCSEd). In recognition of his potential and dedication, he received the Human Manpower Development Programme (HMDP) Award, enabling him to undertake an advanced clinical fellowship at the Leeds Vascular Institute in the United Kingdom, one of the world’s leading centres for complex vascular care.
Career
Over the course of his career, Dr Pravin has made significant contributions to both public and private healthcare in Singapore. He was one of the founding surgeons of the General Surgery Department at Woodlands Health, where he played a pivotal role in establishing clinical services. He also served as a Visiting Consultant at the National University Hospital, Alexandra Hospital, and Ng Teng Fong General Hospital. Alongside his clinical practice, Dr Pravin is deeply committed to education, serving as a Clinical Lecturer at the National University of Singapore, an Adjunct Lecturer at the Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine, and an instructor for the American College of Surgeons’ Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) course.

Dr Pravin’s achievements extend beyond the operating theatre. He has been recognised for his expertise through the prestigious HMDP Award and has contributed to the advancement of surgical knowledge by publishing in peer-reviewed medical journals and presenting at numerous international conferences. His dedication to teaching and mentoring has shaped the next generation of surgeons, while his passion for sports, honed during his time as a national rugby player, reflects his belief in the importance of physical and mental fitness in delivering the highest standard of patient care.
